Description:
1970’s Cummins V8 Turbo Diesel, 5 speed manual trans with 2 speed differential. Onan 6.5kV Generator.
Originally used for Columbia Pictures Corp. Hollywood CA. Purchased by famed Carroll Shelby mechanic and trucker Joe Landaker. Joe started restoration in 1971 while living in Manhattan Beach CA. In 1979 he moved to Lake Havasu, AZ where he garaged his bus and slowly continue to work on it. Bus was finished in early 1990\’s and Joe made 2 or 3 trips across country before he passed in 1995. Joe\’s son, Ed, acquired Joe\’s house and bus where he lived until passing in 2019. Ed never used the bus, and it never left the garage. I\’m Ed\’s son, and I acquired the bus. I moved the bus out of the garage and the house was sold. The Bus is on a lot in Lake Havasu City. Engine seemed to run ok (see video) https://youtu.be/PGyM64RgNAs
Bus has no rust, body is in perfect condition, has been garaged in desert for 42 years.
Interior is in good condition. Has stove, refrigerator, A/C, shower and toilet. All holding tanks have been removed because of plastic cracking.
